He is survived by: his daughter Symone Brown of Little Rock, AR; his grandchildren, Christini Johnson, Cristyn Johnson and Emersym Thornton of Little Rock, AR; his goddaughter Michelle Newman of Ft. Mitchell, AL; and his sisters, Marie Brown of Smithfield, NC, Maybelle Simpson of Raleigh, NC and Felicia Brown Williams (Jeffrey). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A funeral service was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Shaw Funeral Home (520 Red Cross St, Wilmington, NC 28401). A burial was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery (164 Longs Plant Farm Rd, Goldsboro, NC 27534).
