It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carolyn Wooten Thornton (Goldsboro, North Carolina), who passed away on March 10, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Edward and Ida Lee Pope Wooten; and her sister Renette Dupree. She is survived by: her husband Preston Thornton; her daughters, Paige Thornton Adams (Brian), Keri Thornton Currin (A. P.) and Kristi Thornton Cook (Corey); her grandchildren, Kalyn Lewis, Addison Lewis Everard (Dave) of Lil, A. P, Jaxon Currin, Marley Currin, Avett James Currin and Preslee Cook; her great grandchild Odin Everard; and her brother Jimmy Wooten (Brenda). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
