She was predeceased by: her parents, James William and Gladys Louise Evans Speight; her husband Anthony Wayne Howell; and her sister Shirley Jones. She is survived by: her children, Charlene McDaniel Frizzelle (James) of Kinston and Vernon Christopher McDaniel (Ana) of Texas; her brothers, Jimmy Speight and Donny Speight; her grandchildren, Justin Himes, Kristin Himes, Brandon McDaniel, Kelsey Himes, Ashlee McDaniel, Liam McDaniel and Luna McDaniel; her great grandchildren, Caleb, Kimberly, Olivia, Dakota, Mattalynn and Jackson; and the father of her children Vernon McDaniel.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Seymour Funeral Home (1300 Wayne Memorial Dr, Goldsboro, NC 27534). A graveside service was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Stantonsburg Cemetery (Wooten Ave, Stantonsburg, NC 27883).
