She was predeceased by: her parents, William Herbert Blackman and Irene Godwin; her stepfather George Godwin; and her husband Roger Dail Martin. She is survived by: her daughter Pam Minshew (Kenny) of Princeton; her siblings, Brent Godwin (Phyllis) of Princeton, Pat Hatem, LaRose Jackson (Billy) of Grantham and Debbie Moore (Craig) of Princeton; her grandchildren, Justin Minshew (Amanda) and Gentry Minshew (Jessica); and her great grandchildren, Landon, Annalee, Gavin and Ranzy. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Howell Funeral Home & Crematory (1500 Wayne Memorial Dr, Goldsboro, NC 27534). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Howell Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel (1500 Wayne Memorial Dr, Goldsboro, NC 27534). A burial was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 at the Wayne Memorial Park (2925 US-117, Dudley, NC 28333).
Although flowers are welcome, memorial contributions may be directed to Westwood United Methodist Church or to Shriners Hospitals for Children.
