She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Russell and Beulah Shafer Russell. She is survived by: her brothers, Lamar Shafer Russell and Ernest Raymond Russell; her husband John Jacob Yelton; her children, Ernest Lamar Yelton (Jan) of Gold Hill and Patricia Messere (Carl) of Cary, NC.; her grandson Josh (Leigh); her great grandchildren, Carson and Parker; her granddaughter Jenna Ridenhour (Stuart); her great grandchildren, Jace and Mason; and her daughter Michele Legg (Bill).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be given to Gold Hill United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 52, Gold Hill, NC 28071.
