She was predeceased by: her parents, James Luther Hatley and Julia Elona Scott Hatley; her husband John Wayne Goodman; and her siblings, Dorothy Hatley Garmon, Donald Edward Hatley, James Earl Hatley and Bobby Lane Hatley, Sr..
She is survived by: her brother Billy Ray Hatley; her daughters, Sabrina Harper of Albemarle, NC and Wendy Brindle (Jeff Brindle) of Gold Hill, NC; and her grandchildren, Aubrey Harper, Seth Harper, Allie Brindle and Anna Brindle.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, a charity that Lucy supported faithfully, or to Hospice of Stanly and the Uwharrie.
