He was predeceased by: his parents, Dolores Cathrine Pottel and James Lester Lockwood; his brother-in-law James Snyder; his son-in-law David Buckley; and his grandson Kevin Lockwood.
He is survived by: his children, James "Jim" Lockwood, Jr. (Lori), Laurie Buckley (Dennis), Julie Sassman, Lisa Shull, Rebecca Salisbury and Michelle Lockwood (Cody); his sister Linda Rayburg; his nephew Joe Rayburg; his niece Kimberly Borkowski; and his former wives, Linda Lockwood and Carol Salisbury. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
