He was predeceased by: his parents, Max Hammill and Atha Mae Hammill. He is survived by: his wife Linda Ann Hammill of Gold Hill; his children, Brian Hammill of Gold Hill and Jeanette Johnston (Nicholus) of Mooresville; his siblings, Judy Byrd, Clement Hammill and Perry Hammill; and his grandchildren, Clayton Hammill, Dillon Leonard, Garrett Hammill, Kailey Leonard and Linsay Leonard.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethlehem United Methodist Church, 5131 St. Stephens Church Road, Gold Hill, NC 28071.
