The memory of Vernell Maynard Brewington of Godwin, North Carolina, who passed away on April 20, 2025 at the age of 95, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Elmon Maynard and Effie Maynor Maynard; her husband Edwin Thomas Brewington; and her siblings, Pearl Bell, Delphia Chance, Floyd, Leslie, Lacy, Talmadge, Eldridge and James Maynard.
She is survived by: her children, Keith Brewington (Terry) of Dunn, Rickey Brewington (Donna) of Harvest, AL and Vanessa Horne (Larry) of Dunn; her grandchildren, Tracey Rogers (Dustin) of Wilson, Daniel Elmore (Taylor) of Dunn, Lauren Horne-Pullins (Shane) of Knightdale, Grace and James Brewington of Harvest, AL; and her sister Mavis Louise Maynard of Trinity, NC. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, great nieces, great nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 27th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Shiloh Pentecostal Holiness Church (2271 Autry Mill Rd, Godwin, NC 28344). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, April 27th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
