She was predeceased by : her parents, Mary Faircloth and John Jenkins Matthews; her husband G. C. Taylor, Jr.; her son Anthony Wayne Taylor; and her brothers, John, David, Bobby, Pete, Kelly and Blackmon "Boot" Matthews.

She is survived by : her children, Grover C. Taylor, III (Debbie) of Raeford, Ted J. Taylor (Barbara) of Wade and Sula Dawes (Willie) of Lillington; her siblings, Jesse Matthews (Verdie) of Autryville and Helen Barefoot of Autryville; her grandchildren, Liz Keown (Tony), Susan Gurlea (Mike), Grover Taylor, IV and Jeffery Taylor (Laura); and her great grandchildren, Charles, Anthony, Rachel Keown, Alan Gurlea and Iris Taylor.
