He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Parnell and Lucy Mae Massengill Parnell; his wife Joy Young Parnell; and his siblings, Ester Parnell, Rufus Parnell, Vernon Parnell, Agnes Jones, Mary Emma O'Neal, Iris Parker and Greyland Parnell.
He is survived by: his children, Kim Parnell Lafferty (Rob) of Pipersville, Pennsylvania, Brian Christopher Parnell (Karla) of Godwin and Lisa Parnell Baucom (Matt) of Marshville; his grandchildren, Sydney, Samantha, Sawyer Lafferty, Eli, Liam Parnell, Ava, Caleb and Anna Baucom; and his brother Clyde Parnell (Judy) of Godwin.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery (6237 Front St, Falcon, NC 28342).
