He was predeceased by : his nephew Samuel Isiac McAllister. He is survived by : his children, Jamie McAllister (Bobbi) of Lillington and Shasta Culbreth (Russell) of Godwin; his former life partner Kathy McAllister of Godwin; his siblings, David McAllister of Beaver, Sam McAllister (Tammy) and Kay Kesler (Larry) of Anderson; and his grandchildren, Austin McAllister, Eli, Casey and Leah Culbreth. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
