He was predeceased by: his parents, Aldon Baggett and Verta K. Lee Baggett; his wife Mildred Joyce Draughon Baggett; his daughter Joyce Elaine Baggett; and his siblings, Lois McLamb, Johnnie and Dwight Baggett.
He is survived by: his children, Dwayne Baggett (Paula Sue Truesdale) of Godwin and Wendy B. Williams (Doug) of Dunn; his grandchildren, Allison Williams Huhmann (Troy) of Haslet and April Williams Crumpler (Garry) of Godwin; his great grandchildren, Blake, Charleigh Huhmann and Rhiannon Crumpler; and his siblings, Betty Picard of Greensboro and Larry Robert Baggett (Linda) of Godwin.
