She was predeceased by: her father Lewis Melvin Martin; her husband Myers Griffin "Sonny" Braxton; and her sister Connie Cone. She is survived by: her children, John Tarlton Braxton (Michelle) of Fuquay-Varina, Jeannine Braxton Lindsay of Garner and Myra Hester Braxton of LaGrange; her siblings, Sheila Whitt of Elon, Melvin Martin of Burlington and Jerry Martin of Chapel Hill; her grandchildren, Braxton Lindsay, Meredith Wood (Tyler), Grant Braxton (Jillian) and William Braxton; and her great grandchild Grayson Wood.
