He was loved and cherished by many people including : his sons, James Curtis Stephens of Selma and Christopher Gene Stephens of Selma; his grandson Jakayden Stephens of Selma; his siblings, Shirley Olds of Fayetteville, Amelia Sutton (Allen) of Fayetteville, Elizabeth Williams of Godwin, Brenda Norman of Erwin and Elijah H. Burnett of Spring Lake; and his cousin Thomas Elijah Burnett of Dunn. He was also cherished by cousins, other relatives, and friends.
