It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Filep of Gloucester, North Carolina, who passed away on October 5, 2020, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ruth Filep to pay them a last tribute.

She is survived by: her great grandchildren, Iain and Vaughn; her husband Ernest "Ernie" Filep of Gloucester; her children, Deborah Andies of Beaufort, Sharon Hunt of Otway and James Johnson of Chattanooga, TN; her stepchildren, Sarah Filep of Chattanooga, TN and Matthew Filep of Phoenix, AZ; and her brothers, Arthur Martin of Navarre, FL, John Martin of Lima, OH, David Martin of Morris Plains, NJ and Charles Martin (NJ). She is also survived by ten grandchildren; six step grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one step grandson.

In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to Straits United Methodist Church Thrift Shop, 311 Straits Rd. Beaufort NC 28516.
