He was predeceased by: his parents, Aubrey George Chadwick and Syble Smith Chadwick; and his brother Theodore Nicholas Chadwick. He is survived by: his wife Ellen Faye Salter Chadwick; his son Christopher James Chadwick (Kathryn Smith Chadwick) of Stacy, NC; his grandchildren, William Christopher and Larrington Lorraine; his daughter Alisha Chadwick Tate (Dawayne) of Chesapeake, VA; his grandchildren, Elaina Marie and Dawayne Christopher Tate II; his sister Linda M. Perry of Gloucester, NC; his nieces and nephews, Terry Gillikin, Cathy Perry and James Allen "Buddy" Perry Jr.; his brother-in-law Edward Roscoe Salter of Stella, NC; his nieces and nephews, Vera Gail, Eddie, Ashley and Steven; his sister-in-law Rebecca Salter Gupton of Rocky Mount, NC; his nephew William; and his niece Lori.
