He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Reuben Thomas and Anna Mae Duncan Thomas; his wife Nancy Dale Thomas; his children, Phyllis Thomas Shade and Douglas Thomas (Tammy); his son-in-law Timothy Shade; and his sister Beth Thomas Rhyne (Harold). He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
