He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert Pitts (Bob) and Ruzell Pitts (Susie). He is survived by : his wife Jean Pitts; his daughter Hannah Pitts; his grandchildren, Greyson and Nole Fox; his son William Pitts (Liz); his granddaughter Violet; his brothers, Charles Pitts (Trudy) and Andy Pitts (Denise); and also, Pearlene Norman, Donna Hill, Kathy Wheeler (Victor), Gerald and Larry Buff. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
