She was predeceased by: her brothers, Herbert McNeilly and Phillip McNeilly; and her stepbrothers, Alton and Clifton Horton. She is survived by: her stepmother Blanche Horton; her sons, Alton and Clifton; her husband Clifton Pitts; her daughters, Teresa Pitts of Glen Alpine and Sandra Seidenfield (Steven) of Dallas, TX; and her siblings-in-law, Mikki McNeilly, Ruth Clontz, Lib Horton, Frances Horton, Betty Pitts Pollard, Jane Pitts, Jenny Pitts and Gorman Pitts. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Morganton, Burke Hospice and Palliative Care, Burke United Christian Ministries, Doctors Without Borders, or a charity of your choice.
