She was predeceased by: her sister Edna Earl Shuford; her grandsons, Aubrey and Railey Pitts; and her daughter-in-law Mary 'Chick Ammons Pitts. She is survived by: her husband Gorman L. Pitts; her children, Douglas Pitts (Susan) of Glen Alpine, Joe Pitts of Nebo and Patricia Spitz (Sandy) of Matthews, NC; her grandchildren, Lindsey Jane Poley (Jeffrey) of Indian Land, SC, Haley Fields (Gregory) of Raleigh, NC and Aaron Pitts of Glen Alpine; her great grandchild Oliver Fields; and her siblings-in-law, Betty Pollard and Clifton 'Abe Pitts of Glen Alpine. She is also survived by extended family including her grandchildren.
