It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alan N. Candler of Glen Alpine, North Carolina, who passed away on March 12, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Alan N. Candler to pay them a last tribute.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Alan shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Alan farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Newton Candler and Mary Buchanan Candler; his nephew Lee Hilemon; and his niece Angel Hilemon. He is survived by: his sister Donna Hilemon (Floyd) of Glen Alpine; his nephew Bryan Hilemon (Reiney) of Asheville; his niece Alana Ramsey (Anthony); his great-nieces, Leowyn Hilemon of Glen Alpine and Kylie Ramsey of Nebo; his great-nephew Liam Ramsey of Nebo; and his close friend Calvary Baptist Church.
Alan's final act was to give the gift of life through eye and tissue donation.
