She was predeceased by: her parents, William Horton and Bessie Crabb Spicer; her grandson Tanner Ray; and her siblings-in-law, Ronda Spicer and Harold Stroud.
She is survived by: her husband Reverend Charlie Bennett; her children, Christine Ray of Sparta, Tammy Cheek (Larry) of Glade Valley and Chuck Bennett (Christy) of Mount Airy; her siblings, Bertie Stroud of Lincolnton, James Spicer (Karen) of State Road and Billy Jack Spicer of Elkin; her grandchildren, Matthew Johnson, Nathan Johnson (Samantha), Ashley Halsey (Taylor), Brandon Bennett (Carlie), Austin Cheek (Bailey), Heath Ray, Brooke Shelton (Zack) and Ethan Lee; and her pets, Daisy, Roxy and Midnight. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
