He is survived by: his wife Patricia Woodard Apple; his daughter Sharan (Bryant Crane) of George; his grandchildren, Joshua of George, Brittany of George, Will of George, Ava of George, Daniel of George, Kelsi of George, Emma of George, Charlie of George, Henry of George, Zach, Nicole, Tyler, Amelia and Charlotte of Florence, SC.; and his siblings, Paul (Almeta), Margaret Smith, Mable Lanning (Steve Apple), Cheryl Royal and Debi Pope.

Memorials may be made to the Agape Building Fund in South Africa.
