He was predeceased by : his parents, Lexie McKinley and Helen Elizabeth Heath Apple; and his siblings, Warren Apple, Rev. Charles Apple, W. J. Apple, Hallie Morton and Louise Robertson.
He is survived by : his wife Almeta Smith Apple; his children, Paula Maness (Jeff), Steve Apple (Deborah) and Heather Calhoun (Dennis); his grandchildren, Meredith Bridges (E. J.), Jonathan Maness (Anne) and Dustin Calhoun; three great grandchildren; and his sisters, Mabel Powell and Margaret Smith. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
