With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mae Southern of Gibsonville, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 8, 2024 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Lee Harris and Cleo Morene Harris; and her brother Bertram Brady. She is survived by: her daughter Lisa Varner (Chuck); and her granddaughters, Alexandria Varner and Emily Varner.
In lieu of flowers the family gratefully appreciates memorials made to Burlington Animal Services 221 Stone Quarry Road Burlington, NC 27217 in honor of LaRue as she loved animals.
