Mabel Frances Long Owen Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mabel Frances Long Owen (Gibsonville, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 16, 2024 at the age of 94. She was predeceased by: her parents, Berta Louise Hightower Long and Asa Conally Long, Sr.; and her grandfather John Iverson Long. She is survived by: her siblings, Julia Lois Long Rudd and Asa Conally Long, Jr.; her husband Wallace Huffman Owen; her former husband George Chandler Palethorpe; her siblings-in-law, Franklin Rudd and Betty Lou Long; her cousin Frances Marston (late Haywood); her nieces and nephews, Sandra Louise Rudd Davis (late Larry), Barry Franklin Rudd (Susan), Kyle Long Rudd (DeAnna), Cynthia Long Daniel (George), Stephen Conally Long (Jane), Stacey Todd Long (Sue), Lesa Marston Kurylo (Will) and Woody Marston (Ana); her children, Charlene Wyrick Smith (late Tommy) and Gary William Wyrick (late June); her grandchildren, James "Jimmy" Melvin Nance, Austin Bentley Owen (Morgan), William Alexander "Alex" Owen (Blair), James Conally Owen (Melissa), Kathryn Louise Owen, Joseph Michael Huffman Owen, Heidi Louise Palethorpe, George Wallace Palethorpe, Nancy Ann Palethorpe and Henry Arlie Palethorpe; her great grandchildren, James Mason Nance, Benjamin Asher Nance, Lily Mai Nguyen, Mason James Kaleta, Camden Young Owen, Harbor Grace Owen and Conally "Callie" Aniston Owen; and also, Frances Evelyn Caudle Wyrick (Charles) and Dorothy Caudle Neugent.
