He was predeceased by: his wife Carla Stewart Marley; his son Richard Blake Marley; his parents, Robert Marley and Rachel Marley; and his siblings-in-law, Gwen and Nightingale Stewart.
He is survived by: his daughter Robin (Mike Putnam) of Kings Mountain, NC; his granddaughters, Victoria Putnam (Andrew Henson) of Sharon Springs, NY and Kendyl Putnam (Evan Kitzmiller) of Charlotte, NC; his brother Freddie (Lindy Marley) of Greensboro, NC; his brothers-in-law, Duane (Trish Stewart) of Southport, NC and Don Stewart (Amy Sgroi) of Greensboro, NC; and his close friend Jane McAteer of Burlington, NC. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
