He is survived by: his siblings, Wilbert Otis Rankin Jr. of Burlington, Stanley Rankin (Ernestine), Charles Holt of Gibsonville, Melvin Rankin (Shelby Miller) of Greensboro, Olivia Gunn (Stanley) of Elon and Alice McDonald of Gibsonville; and his aunt Agnes McCade (Artis) of Raleigh. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
