He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. W. S. and Donnie Dixon Young; his son Donnie D. Jones; his grandson Joseph Johnson; and his siblings, Mary W. Snow, Betty P. Bailey, Buddy, Richard, Glenn and Henry Young.
He is survived by: his spouse Marchetta McConnell Young; his children, Debbie Johnson, Tim Young (Beverly), Billy Young and Keith Young (DeAnne); his grandchildren, Shawn Johnson (Jacqueline), Brandon Johnson (Nikki), Kaelyn Simmons (David), Cameron Young, Amaris Young, Silas Young, Grant Madren, Logan Madren, Brittney Barker-Jones and Kelsey Jones; his sisters, Cathy McDaniel (Gary), Carol Massey and Donna Powell; and his sisters-in-law, Aggie Young and Linda Young. He is also survived by great grandchildren.
