He was predeceased by: his spouse Carnell Cook Summers; and his parents, Charlie Zimmery Summers and Irene McPherson Summers. He is survived by: his sons, Barry G. Summers (Diane) of Wilmington, Dana L. Summers (René) of Burlington and Kim G. Summers (Wendy) of Trinity; and his grandchildren, Matthew Summers (Sarah), Kelly McCool (Brandon), Brent Summers (Jessie), Kyndal Rogers (Jimmy), Andrew Summers (Jamie) and Tristan Summers. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
