With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dula Mae Shearin Cook Hester of Gibsonville, North Carolina, born in Franklin, North Carolina, who passed away on February 14, 2022 at the age of 86. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Albert and Margaret Hazel Winstead Shearin; her husband Robert Lee Cook; and her siblings, Virginia Lee Shearin Hall, Daphne Kinley, Ann Boggs, Benny Shearin and Ned Shearin.
She is survived by: her sons, Terry Lee Cook (Barbara) and Ricky Allan Cook; her grandchildren, Chrissie Hinton (Jason), Allan Cook (Taylor), Eric Cook (Liza) and Caitlin Cook; her great grandchildren, Aiden Hinton, Brady Hinton, Aley Cook, Lenox Cook, McKinley Cook, Dalton Cook and Kruz Cook; and her siblings, Sue McBride (Sammy), Linda Heyworth (Butch), Bonnie Gerner, Eugene Shearin (Helen) and Bill Shearin. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
