He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Edward and Nancy Curtis Gwarek; his wife Elizabeth Wilcox Gwarek; and his daughter Adrienne Lynn Gwarek. He is survived by: his children, Donald P. Gwarek (Christine) of Elon and Elizabeth Carol Reynolds of Ruffin; and his siblings, Gregory Gwarek (Holly) of Fayetteville and Cathy Gwarek of Reidsville. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
