He was predeceased by: his fathers, John and Clay Guerrant Owen; and his brothers, Hammit Owen and James Thomas Owen. He is survived by: his children, Kathy Somers (Bryan) and Alvin Owen (Sheri); his grandchildren, Jason Owen (Risha), Gary Owen (Ashley) and Mitzi Gunn (Jamie); his great grandchildren, Edwin Gunn, Wesley Gunn, Caleb Owen, Jessalynn Owen, Avery Owen, Hanna Thompson, Jordann Thompson, Justin Thompson and Trinity Drewery; his great great grandchildren, Lacey Gunn and Logan Drewery; his sister Margaret Ann "Polly" Hart; and his sisters-in-law, Delia Owen and Becky Owen. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
