It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carnell Cook Summers (Gibsonville, North Carolina), born in Altamahaw, North Carolina, who passed away on May 31, 2018, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse C. Cook and Mattie Styers Cook. She is survived by: her spouse Harvey G. Summers; her sons, Barry G. Summers (Diane) of Wilmington, Dana L. Summers (René) of Burlington and Kim G. Summers (Wendy) of Trinity; and her brother Austin Cook of Burlington. She is also survived by six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
