She was predeceased by: her parents, Edmond Rigney and Gladys Rigney; and her sister Dorothy Rigney Byerly. She is survived by: her spouse Larry Wood McDowell; her children, Mark T. McDowell (Rhonda) of Pleasant Garden and Wendel McDowell (Melinda) of Gibsonville; her grandchildren, Brandon, Cole, Ryan, Morgan, Whitney and Lane McDowell; and her siblings, Marlene Rigney Byerly (Roby) and Jerry David Rigney (Susan). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hope River Church, 4355 High Rock Road, Gibsonville, NC, 27249.
