He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Pate Stubbs and Sallie Ann Stubbs; and his brothers, Frank Stubbs and Grady Stubbs. He is survived by: his wife Shelby Stubbs; his children, William Douglas Stubbs (Evonne) of Rural Hall, NC, Dennis Wright, Kristi Stubbs Ormand (Mitch) of Charlotte, Sharon Wright of Aberdeen, Donna Wright of Charlotte and Deborah Wright Dees of Gibson; his siblings, Everette Stubbs of Brightsville, SC, Sallie Francis Moore of Bennettsville, SC and Mamie Lee Oxendine of Rockingham; his grandchildren, Brandon Dees, Gene Smith, Walker Wright, Tiffany Wright, Michael Wright, William Douglas Stubbs, Jr. and Derek Stubbs; his great grandchildren, Mia Bella Stubbs and Maddox Wright; and his daughter Krisiti.
