He was predeceased by: his siblings, Lt. Colonel Floyd B. "Bus" Sweet, Jr., James W. "Jim" Sweet, Lemmual B. "Lem" Sweet, Betty Joanne Sweet and Diane Sweet Frocchi.
He is survived by: his wife Teresa Wood Sweet; his sons, Robert Michael "Rusty" Sweet, Jr. of Gibson and James Bryon "Jamie" Sweet of Gibson; his grandson Austin Michael Sweet of Gibson; his nephew Michael W. Seals; his sister Patricia Sweet Grady; and his close friends, Megan E. "Flossie" Decker, Chris Suarez and Shelby Jean Callahan. He is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, and many friends.
