She was predeceased by: her husband Richard Sturdivant, Sr.; and her siblings, Annie Roscoe, Debra Steen, Brady Steen and Willie Steen.

She is survived by: her children, Kimberly Whitehead (Johnathan) of North, SC, Richard Sturdivant of Bennettsville, SC and Robert Sturdivant; her granddaughters, Samantha Whithead of Hamlet and Amanda Whitehead of North, SC; and her siblings, Brenda Prevatte of Bennettsville, SC, Wanda Nunn of Ellerbe, Mary Benoist of Hamlet, Teresa Steen of Rockingham, Lisa Steen of Society Hill, SC and William Steen of Lexington, NC..

Due to COVID-19 the family will have a private graveside service this week at Steen Family Cemetery.
