She was predeceased by: her parents, Emerson Matthew Cottingham and Lula Adell Adams. She is survived by: her sons, Matthew Liles (Sheila) of Rockingham, Adam Liles (Ayanna McMillan) of Gibson and Grey Grooms of Wilmington; her brother Robert Cottingham of Gibson; and her grandchildren, Cassie Liles, Kailey Liles, Ragan Liles, Mattie Liles and Neely Liles. She is also survived by loving extended family and many friends.
Donations in Emmie's memory is requested to be given to the Gibson United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 271, Gibson, NC 28343.
