He was predeceased by: his parent Paris Jackson Deese; his daughter Vickey Deese Locklear; his brothers, Marvin Deese, Billy Deese and Gary Deese; and his grandson Seth Locklear.
He is survived by: his parent Mary Hester Clontz; his wife Joyce Crouch Deese; his children, Raymond Deese of Gibson and Virginia Gleaton of North, SC; his siblings, David Deese (Janie) of Waxsaw, Joe Deese (Lavail) of Monroe, Roy Deese (Karen) of Denton and Mary McDowell (Johnny) of Ruby, SC; his grandchildren, Victor Keeter, Dallas Gleaton, Austin Gleaton, Bradley Locklear and Stevie Carter; and his great grandchildren, Casey and Jasper. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
