She was predeceased by: her parents, George Dewey and Sarah Reid Blankenship; her husband Bill Hicks; and her siblings, Clay Blankenship and Sarah Dickens.
She is survived by: her son Leland D. Hicks of Germanton; her grandchildren, Christian Wade Hicks, Savanah Delaney Hicks and Mallory Claire Hicks; and her siblings, Syvileen Mackie of Clemmons and George "Doc" Blankenship of Mocksville.
