He was predeceased by: his parents, Jefferson Easley and Stella Mae Smith Smith; his son Keith Smith; and his siblings, Geneva Ann Tuttle, Linda Bowman, Raymeth Edwin Smith, Byron A. Smith, William E. Smith, Charles D. Smith, Arzelle Smith and Davis Lee Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Mattie Hill Smith; his children, Ray Smith, Jr. (Vi), Tim H. Smith (Beverly), Jeff W. Smith (Kim) and Lorene S. Nelson; and his siblings, Violet Hamlin and J. E. Smith (Lela). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren.
