She was predeceased by: her parents, Purdie Wilmore and Louis McCarthy Johnson Minick; her daughter Frances Conway; and her siblings, Polly Ivey, Johnny, Carl, Spencer and Jimmy Minick.
She is survived by: her husband Jerry Howard Hobbs; her children, Joan Parker (David) of Winton, Jean Nipper (Raymond) of Winton, Roland Conway (Sharon) of Pittsburgh, PA, Michael of Chesapeake, VA and Jaime Hobbs of Chesapeake, VA; her siblings, Frances Frazier of Portsmouth, VA and Billy Minick of Fairfax, VA; and her grandchildren, Leslie, Lisa, Karen, Chuck, Joe, Michelle, Jaime and Carson. She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
