She was predeceased by: her parents, Bedford Horton Brown, Sr. and Marietta Spivey Brown; her husband Cooper Hofler; her siblings, Marjorie Hobbs, Peggy Byrd and Bedford H. Brown, Jr.; and her sons-in-law, William A. Thomas and Stuart G. Windley.
She is survived by: her daughters, Barbara Thomas of Norfolk, VA, Beverly Windley of Norfolk, VA, Connie Sanders (Grover) of Elizabeth City and Linda Algood (Keith) of Kitty Hawk; her grandchildren, Allison Sanders, Ashley Swayne, Nathan Windley and Tracey Winslow; and her great grandchildren, Riley Swayne and Jonathan Winslow.
