It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Thomas Taylor (Gatesville, North Carolina), born in Hertford, North Carolina, who passed away on August 29, 2020, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Dennie Taylor and Lillie Mae Benton Taylor; and his siblings, Elsie and Clarence. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Barrett Taylor; his daughters, Denise Taylor Lassiter (Anthony) of Eure and Candice Taylor Lockitt (Jim); and his great grandchildren, Taylor Byrd, Jemma Bevill and Annabelle Stallings. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family immediately following the service, where masks and social distancing measures are encouraged.
