It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Hallie Turner Lewis Spruill (Gatesville, North Carolina), born in Gates, North Carolina, who passed away on August 29, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Edward Turner, Sr. and Ethel Wilkins Turner; her husbands, Daniel C. Lewis and Earl Spruill; and her brothers, Willie Edward Turner, Jr. and Douglas Ray Turner.
She is survived by: her daughter Ellen Lewis Willard (Charles) of Mocksville; her grandchildren, Jarrod Willard (Namfon) of Mocksville and Ashley Atherton (Craig) of Indian Trail; and her great grandchildren, Violet and Lincoln Atherton.
