He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Polk and Eva Parker Curle; his wife Sylvia Lee Parker Curle; his siblings, Estelle Etheridge, Frances Alexander, Raye Umphlett, J. P. and Franklin Curle; and his granddaughter Tammy Jo Steinert.
He is survived by: his children, Sylvia Ann Curle Fowler (Tommy) of Suffolk and Timothy Wayne Curle (Linda) of Edenton, NC; his sister Gayle Futrell of Plano, TX; and his grandchildren, Jessica and Jonathan.
