She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Kinney and Mary George Kinney. She is survived by: her husband William E. Turner, Sr.; her children, William Turner Jr., Rodney Turner (Hiromi), Emmanuel Kinney of Weeksville, NC, Charles Overton of Newport News, VA, Dianna Turner of New Bern, NC, Daisy Overton of Newport News, VA and Andrea Mebane (Rudolph) of Colerain, NC; her siblings, Lillie Kinney-Wilson of Weeksville, NC, Debora Gethers (Malcolm) of Elizabeth City, NC, Ernest Kinney of Elizabeth City, NC and Euqene Spellman of Richmond, VA; her niece Deborahnetta Howard (Alvin) of Durham, NC; her nephew Bernard Gethers (Laura) of Ashburn, VA.; her friend Alma Walston of Ahoskie, NC.; her aunt Goldie George of Virginia Beach, VA.; and her great grandchildren, Hazel, Nicayla "Pinky", Nathaniel "Nate", Tyleighona "Ty", Zacheus "Zac" and Brianna. She is also survived by grandchildren, host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

At one o'clock in the afternoon, friends and family will safely meet at the Memory Gardens Cemetery, Elizabeth City, NC for the final viewing and burial (all Covid-19 health protocols will be followed, participants are requested to wear face coverings and practice social distancing during this time).
