She was predeceased by: her husband James Allen Cross; her son James "Mike" Cross; and her siblings, Delton Knight, Alton Knight, Thomas Knight, Lawrence Knight and Dorothy Knight.
She is survived by: her children, Sharon Patrick (Berlin) of Roper, NC, Patricia Cross of Gates, NC, Mark Cross of Suffolk, VA and Derrick Cross of Gates, NC; her daughter-in-law Rachel Cross; her siblings, Joyce Young of Memphis, TN, William Knight (Barbara) and Ronald Knight (Barbara); her sisters-in-law, Janice Boone, Bertha Boone, Margaret Cross (Mcell) of Gates, Angenita Boone of Greensboro, NC, Peggy Goulet (Robert) and Rita Gatling Brinkley (Benjamin) of Suffolk, VA.; and also Terance Hall. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
